When they moved to California, Sanjna was enrolled in drawing and ceramic classes to continue her interest in Art. When the family shifted to Bangalore, and she started attending the BIS (Bangalore International School) as a part-time student after finishing her homeschool studies. Her talent was spotted and groomed by the school. Since then, she has been under the tutelage of art teachers Mr. Dodamani, Ms. Malamma Patil and Mr. Vinodh Shahpuri.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1530265993354{margin-top: 30px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]Sanjna is known for her spontaneous art expressions of pure, brilliant colors and simple, abstract forms. Sanjna is extremely creative and uses mediums such as pencil, charcoal, dry pastel, oil pastel, pen, ink and acrylic paints with equal \u00e9lan. It was inaugurated by <strong><span style=\"color: #9515e6;\">Chief Guest Shri.Mahesh Vengurlekar,<\/span> <\/strong>Principal, Goa College of Art. The <span style=\"color: #9515e6;\"><strong>Guest of Honor<\/strong> was <strong>Shri.Sanjay Harmalkar,<\/strong><\/span> Chairman, Institute Menezes Braganza. The <span style=\"color: #9515e6;\"><strong>Special Guests<\/strong><\/span> for the event were <strong><span style=\"color: #9515e6;\">Mr. Alexyz Fernandez<\/span>,<\/strong> renowned Goan Cartoonist and <strong><span style=\"color: #9515e6;\">Stacey Rodriguez<\/span>, <\/strong>a self-taught visually impaired artist from Goa. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanjna presented her <strong><em>third Solo exhibition<\/em><\/strong> at one of the historic landmarks of Bangalore, the<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/sanjnasrikanth.com\/home\/exhibitions\/venkatappa-art-exhibition\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Venkatappa Art Gallery<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">between Mar 18-26th, 2016. The function was graced by<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #9515e6;\"><strong>Hon&#8217;ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh &amp; Telangana Shri. E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Smt. Vimala Narasimhan. <\/strong><\/span>The Rio Olympic canvas was unveiled, and Sanjna&#8217;s art teachers including respected Mr. M.G. Doddamani, Ms. Malamma Patil and Mr. Vinod Shapure were given special honours during the inauguration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She also held her <strong><em>second Solo exhibition<\/em><\/strong> at the prestigious<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <strong style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"Xpressions, Solo Art Exhibition, Chennai, Dec 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/sanjnasrikanth.com\/ver2\/exhibitions\/xpressions-solo-art-exhibition-chennai-dec-2014\/\">Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai<\/a><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>between Dec 22-28th, 2014. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Sareen, Executive Vice President, IndusInd Bank, Chennai. More than 80 artists and art students, and many visitors attended the exhibition throughout the week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sanjna participated in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"India Inclusion Summit- Nov, 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/sanjnasrikanth.com\/ver2\/exhibitions\/india-inclusion-summit-2014\/\">India Inclusion Summit, 2014<\/a>,<\/strong><\/span><\/span> for the second time in a row on Nov 28-29, 2014, by giving two of her paintings to be used as a backdrop for the event. She was awarded a plaque for her contribution to the summit. This summit is a community-driven initiative that brings together thought leaders from the field of inclusion to deliberate, discuss and take forward diverse talents available in our society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In Nov&#8217;13, her paintings were displayed in the<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff6600;\"> <strong><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"India Inclusion Summit, November 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/sanjnasrikanth.com\/ver2\/exhibitions\/india-inclusion-summit-november-2013\/\">India Inclusion Summit, 2013<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and one of them was sold in a prestigious auction along with India&#8217;s prominent artists and celebrities. And, in February 2013, one of Sanjna&#8217;s works of art was profiled at the<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" title=\"World Economic Forum, Davos, 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/sanjnasrikanth.com\/ver2\/exhibitions\/world-economic-forum-davos-2013\/\">World Economic Forum<\/a><\/strong>,<\/span> held at Davos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the year 2012, when she was 16 years old, Sanjna held her <strong>first<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" title=\"Solo Art Exhibition, May 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/sanjnasrikanth.com\/ver2\/exhibitions\/solo-art-exhibition-may-2012\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Solo Art Exhibition<\/span> <\/a><\/strong><\/span>with a collection of over 40 painting and drawings, proceeds of around Rs. 40,000 which went to the Sunshine Autism school, Bangalore. She went to Rio De Janeiro and took part in the Torch relay event.<\/p>\n<p>As a sponsor of the Rio Olympics, 2016, Cisco systems chose Sanjna because she fulfills the vision of the Paralympic Games, which are <em>&#8220;a symbol of courage and inspiration to what is possible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In August 2014, Sanjna has been recognized as an &#8220;<em>Inspiring Role Model for the Community&#8221;<\/em> by <a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"Diana Award\" href=\"http:\/\/diana-award.org.uk\/\">The Diana Award UK<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">,<\/span> established in memory of Princess Diana. This organization is a living legacy to Diana, the Princess of Wales\u2019 belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better.
